1965 is all about nostalgia, a wistful yearning for simpler times. What could be more nostalgic than the iconic cars of the 1960's.
Our original 1965 Chrysler Valiant Safari, affectionately known as Carol, is available for personalised 1/2 day or day tour experiences providing a unique look around the Adelaide Hills and surrounds. We have some fabulous itineraries, visiting cellar doors and other delicious destinations in the Northern Adelaide Hills region or tell us where you would like to go and we'll take you.
Carol is an approved chauffeur vehicle, albeit in the guise of a 1960's family wagon. She is equipped with big, comfy bench seats, retrofitted climate control, authentic Onkaparinga Woollen Mill picnic rugs, a blue Malley vintage esky and Bluetooth stereo with a carefully curated 1960's soundtrack. She has a 225 cubic inch slant 6 engine, if that's important to you.
Whether you are a wine connoisseur or a wine expert wannabe, we can tailor a tour to suit you. Being locals, we can take you on the back roads to some exquisite but lesser known cellar doors.
Sometimes we can offer some special 'behind the scenes' opportunities too. Take a look at our list of local Cellar Doors. They each have a point of difference be it panoramic views, organic growing techniques or wine tasting experiences.
We understand that some people like things other than wine (really?) and so we can mix up a wine tour with alternative destinations. Think Lobethal Bierhaus, Applewood Gin, Fabrik Arts & Heritage, Paracombe Perry, Woodside Cheese Wright or maybe Chesterfield Whisky at Woodside.
Tour Details:
Tours are currently available for our guests on Fridays and Saturdays. Pickup is at 1.00 pm. We will chat to you a few days beforehand to plan the perfect itinerary.
$310 for a 4 hour private tour for up to 4 guests.
